Having lived a long and full life Sadly Ken died in Kingston hospital on 8 December 2015. Ken was a lifelong supporter of the RNLI and for many years an active member of the Lifeboat Enthusiasts Society. Model making was one of his hobbies, mainly boats, but also planes and steam engines. With his Atlantic 21, Ken, with his wife Mollie, regularly attended the annual model lifeboat regattas in Southport and Courtmacsherry. Visits to Poole were part of his life and he loved staying at the Lifeboat College, his last visit being for the opening of the All Weather Centre and the 2015 Open Weekend. Ken and Mollie chose to celebrate their Silver Wedding at the Lifeboat College with many family and friends. It was a truly memorable and unforgettable weekend. As we were leaving Ken said "We are coming back here for my 90th birthday party". He didn't quite make it.
